CECOF General Assembly 2014

The 42nd  General Assembly was held in Dresden (Germany) on October 17, 2014, attended by delegates from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland. The associate members IHEA (US) and JIFMA (Japan) were also represented.

The meeting focused on market and business trends as well as the economic situation. The representatives from the member associations, individual and associate members gave reports on the market situation in their countries.

René Branders and Dr Franz Beneke updated the participants on the status of the CECOF activities in the field of  ErP DG ENTR., Lot 4, Industrial Furnaces; Gas Quality: EU Mandate 400 – EN  16726; Gas Appliance Directive (GAD) – New Proposal; REACH: High Temperature Wool.

In addition, lectures by Michael Bennett (EC DG Enterprise & Industry) on "Ecodesign (ErP) Directive & other EU Legislation – State of Implementation & Potential Impacts on the ThermoProcessing Industry"  as well as Professor Dimosthenis Trimis (Engler-Bunte-Institute, Karlsruhe Institute for Technology) on "Opportunities for Research and Development in the Field of Heat Processing in Europe" provided first-hand information for the participants

The General Assembly 2015 will be held in Helsinki/Finland on October 09.
